You can now crochet an afghan, designed from your favorite picture.  Your pattern is created in a filet crochet format. Your custom designed afghan should be crocheted using only one color. White, off-white, or a pastel color works best to show off the pattern. The only stitches you need to know are chain stitch and double crochet.  Finished afghans are approximately 45” x 60”.  The good news is that from start to finish you can crochet an afghan in 12 hours!!!!

A pattern can be created from almost any close up picture.  Here are some ideas for custom designs from a picture:
